Today's course conditions
The Race to Birkdale is a members midweek competition played over the 20 weeks of the summer season. Every Wednesday up to 60 competitors tee off and try their luck at the different formats of play. One week it might be a 4BBB, the next a Texas Scramble. There is one thing for sure and its that everybody that plays has a great night, with good golf, good food and superb company.
A few years back an order of merit for produced where the winner and runner up would win a round of golf at Royal Birkdale. Every October the winners take a trip over to the coast with the Director of Golf and the Captain to enjoy one of the best courses in the world.
